About your Candle

A lot of love and care goes into every Oak & Porter candle. Rather than being mass produced on a mechanical production line, our candles are carefully crafted from natural wax in small batches by the hands of a human. As such, while every effort is made to ensure consistency, each candle is unique and may occasionally have slight imperfections. Rest assured that any imperfections are superficial and will not affect the burn quality, fragrance or performance of your candle in any way.

You'll notice a small amount of tunnelling during the first hours of burning your Oak & Porter candle. Rest assured this isn’t a fault with the wicking of the candle. Coconut wax behaves differently to other waxes and as such, initial tunnelling is perfectly normal. It will gradually melt as the candle burns down and the heat within the vessel increases. To minimise tunnelling and ensure the wax completely melts by the end of your candle's life, we recommend burning your candle for longer periods of 3 to 4 hours.

Please read the Safety Tips enclosed with your candle before burning.
